Yesterday at least one angler brought in his walleye limit.  So they're out there!

Walleye fishing has been spotty, but people brought in lots of Northerns and perch this past weekend.  Some of the Northerns were trophy size.  One angler who has been coming here for 15 years said it was the best May fishing he could remember. 

The season has gotten off to a strong start.  Catches have been consistent.  During our Spring Harbor Derby last weekend, the following were the top catches in each of the four categories:

Walleye 11 lbs.

Lake Trout 16 lbs.

Brown Trout 10 lbs. 13 oz.

Northern Pike 15 lbs. 3 oz.
